Room & Board

For over 30 years, Room & Board's focus has been the simple idea that good design should be beautiful, affordable and long-lasting. We're proud that more than 90 percent of the products we sell are handcrafted in the U.S. Combining modern inspiration and clean lines, Room & Board showcases beautiful, timeless furnishings and accessories in the Not So Big Showhouse at School Street, in Libertyville. Our design team worked with Sarah to create a comfortable, multi-functional living environment to complement the high-quality, character and smart design of the home. Furniture and accessories were selected to fit the needs of modern life and the way people really live. Modern-classic silhouettes throughout the home reflect our shared philosophy and emphasis on sustainability and belief in American handcraftsmanship and also speak to the natural beauty of materials, fabrics and textures.

James Hardie

Nothing affects curb appeal and ultimately the value of a home like the exterior siding. Homeowners wanting the look of lap siding have traditionally had to settle for wood or vinyl siding. However, over time, wood-based siding tends to rot, fade and crack, and is susceptible to termites, while vinyl is easily dented, fades in color, and is perceived as being a lower quality alternative. Already installed on over 4 million homes across the U.S., James Hardie® siding has the look and character of real wood, but without the maintenance. It's also flame resistant, highly durable and resists rotting, warping, cracking, wood peckers, hail, and high winds. James Hardie's latest advancement, siding that is engineered for your local climate, ensures that every home can have an exterior specifically designed for the climatic conditions of the region.

Plus, James Hardie's revolutionary ColorPlus® Technology painting process will ensure your home looks better, longer. That's because James Hardie® siding with ColorPlus® technology comes with a factory applied, baked-on paint finish that is guaranteed not to chip, peel or crack and is protected with a 15-year finish warranty.

Priority Energy

Priority Energy is an energy solutions company dedicated to empowering homeowners and builders to create quality, energy efficient homes that will last a lifetime. In addition to the overall energy savings and reduced environmental footprint, Energy Star homes certified by Priority Energy provide increased comfort, improved indoor air quality , and greater durability than non-energy efficient homes being built today. Priority Energy helps achieve these objectives through measured testing - known as a "comprehensive energy audit" to evaluate the performance of a home and identify a prioritized list of energy solutions. In 2010, Priority Energy audited over one million square feet of space, was recognized by the US Department of Environmental Protection Agency as one of the largest instructors of the EPA's Energy Star 3.0 training program and helped countless home and business owners achieve their energy efficiency solutions through highly specialized products like Aeroseal Duct Sealing - just recognized as a Top 100 Best New Products in 2011 by This Old House magazine. Streetscape Development and Sarah Susanka consulted with Priority Energy to implement energy efficiency measures and to meet the Energy Star 3.0 guidelines for the Not So Big Showhouse. Priority Energy performed independent auditing tests to ensure maximum efficiency was achieved at each stage of construction. The combination of the home's design, high quality construction and state-of-the art efficiency applications such as Aeroseal will make this one of the most practical, durable and comfortable new homes on the market. It is estimated this home will have a 40% reduction in utility costs compared to other new homes built today.
